ANTHRAX: New SCOTT IAN Signature Guitars Announced

Washburn Guitars has announced the release of two new Scott Ian (ANTHRAX) signature series guitars for 2008. The WV540VASI and WV40VASI join other Ian series guitars, the SI60MW and SI61G. They are made from solid mahogany with Ian's signature Blood Red graphics and feature a Mahogany/Set neck and the Buzz Feiten Tuning System.

The WV540VASI is built in the Washburn USA Custom Shop and features a carbon glass epoxy composite fretboard, an Original Floyd Rose bridge, Sperzel tuners and Seymour Duncan pickups. Periodically, Scott stops by the Washburn facility outside Chicago to hand-splatter each guitar himself. It will retail for $2,699.90.

The WV40VASI comes with a Rosewood fretboard, Grover Exclusive tuners, Randall pickups and a Licensed Floyd Rose bridge. It will retail for $1,249.90.
